Get Ready for J’Cenae: A Star from Rolling Fork, MS
Jacqueline Cenae Williams, known as J’Cenae, is a Southern Soul vocalist from Rolling Fork, MS. She discovered her talent early through church singing, talent shows, and later earned a music scholarship to Alcorn State University, performing with multiple ASU ensembles.
After leaving Alcorn in 2008, she began singing background for artists like Nathaniel Kimble, Chris Ivy, and later toured with Marvin Sease, gaining major stage experience. She soon shifted toward her solo career while continuing to support artists such as Vick Allen, Lacee, and Nellie “Tiger” Travis.
In 2016, she released her debut single Good Stuff and began performing across the South at festivals, casinos, and major Southern Soul events. She has shared stages with Tucker, Avail Hollywood, Pokey, Bobby Rush, Karen Wolfe, Magic One, Calvin Richardson, and many others.
Her breakthrough came in 2018 when Wendell B mentored her. Their 2019 collaboration, I’ll Be Down in a Minute, became a Southern Soul hit in 2020, earning national and international radio play and a Jackson Music Award nomination. In 2022, she teamed up with J-Wonn for Moving at Your Speed, further elevating her profile.
In 2023, she launched her own label, Raw Soul Muzik Group, releasing Set the Groove and another J-Wonn–written single. That same year, she was honored as one of the Jackson Music Awards’ “Queens of Soul.”
Today, J’Cenae is a Grammy Recording Academy Voting Member (Class of 2025) and a three-time Jackson Music Awards National Female Artist of the Year. Her upcoming album, The Evolution of J’Cenae, arrives August 23, 2025, showcasing her growth, independence, and signature soulful sound.

Anissa “Bigg Sexyy” Hampton is a powerhouse vocalist from Chicago, now rooted in Jackson, Mississippi. Singing since age three, she has become one of the region’s most versatile performers, moving effortlessly through Blues, Soul, Gospel, Opera, and Jazz.
She has shared stages with major artists including Brian McKnight, Musiq Soulchild, Eric Benét, Regina Belle, Michel’le, and Bobby Rush, and has provided background vocals for Willie Clayton, Keeshea Pratt, Calvin Richardson, Chick Rogers, Karen Brown, EJ Jones, Stefunie, and Larry Johnson.
Her talent has earned numerous honors, including R&B Band of the Year (2021), Entertainer of the Year and Female Artist of the Year (2022), and Entertainer of the Year at the 2023 Best of Mississippi Awards. She continues to receive multiple nominations across the Southern Soul, Blues, and Gospel award circuits.
Anissa introduced herself with her 2018 debut single Big Sexy and has since delivered crowd favorites like Doggone Shucky Ducky, Holding On (to Your Good Loving), and Move This Train. She is currently preparing to release her Blues EP, Variations of Me.

Nathaniel Kimble
Nathaniel Kimble is a celebrated American Blues singer whose career spans more than 25 years and includes a long list of fan‑favorite hits. Born in Benoit, Mississippi, Nathaniel discovered his gift early while singing in the church choir. Though Gospel music shaped his foundation, he developed a deep passion for the Blues—collecting records from around the world and studying the lyrics of legendary artists such as Tyrone Davis, Johnnie Taylor, Marvin Sease, and Willie Clayton.
After years of honing his craft, Nathaniel stepped onto the club scene, where audiences immediately embraced his soulful voice and charismatic presence. While he enjoyed performing classics, he longed for the fulfillment of creating his own music. Quietly, he began writing and recording original material, leading to the release of his debut album Can U Bagg It Up in 2000—a breakout success that earned him international attention.
He followed with the 2002 album Please Don’t Go, which included the highly requested single “Ghetto Club.” His third album, Better Get Ready, was released under Mardi Gras Records, and in 2005 he delivered his fourth project, Sensational, featuring the charting hit “2 Steps” (#5) and the fan‑favorite feel‑good anthem “Happy.”
Nathaniel continued his momentum with the 2006 album Baby I’m Back, which produced another popular single, “You Make Me Happy.” After taking time away to focus on family, he returned refreshed with the heartfelt 2009 album Mama, a tribute to his mother that reached #3 on the Blues Critic Charts.
In 2012, he released Full of That Juice, adding more hits to his catalog, including “Let Me Luv U” and a remix of his classic “Can U Bagg It Up,” both of which remain highly requested by fans.

Bre Wooten is one of Southern Soul’s rising new voices, known for her smooth delivery, heartfelt storytelling, and a sound that blends modern soul with classic blues influences. Discovered by IDS Entertainment in 2023, she quickly made her mark with her breakout single “Woman in the Middle,” followed by a steady stream of fan‑favorite releases.
Her growing catalog includes “That Thang I Like,” “Mississippi Girl,” “Get Loose,” “Why,” “It Kills Me,” “Fool for You” (feat. Serabee is a powerhouse singer, songwriter, and multi‑instrumentalist whose soulful voice and heartfelt storytelling have made her a standout force in contemporary Blues, Soul, and Americana. Born in Mississippi and raised in a deeply musical family, she developed her talent early, performing in church and touring with her parents’ gospel band before launching her own career.
A gifted vocalist with a signature Southern edge, Serabee blends Soul, Blues, Country, and Pop into a sound that is uniquely her own. She gained national attention as a finalist on NBC’s The Voice, where her dynamic range and emotional delivery captivated audiences across the country.
