Xavie Shorts is an award‑winning Inspirational and Soul artist from Ethel, Louisiana, celebrated for his uplifting “positive vibes” and the healing energy woven throughout his music. How winners are chosen!!
The Soul Music Awards are proud to celebrate the exceptional talent of every nominee. Each artist is deserving of recognition, and we believe in honoring those who truly value and support our platform.
Therefore, winners are determined by a combination of two criteria: they must receive the highest number of votes in their category, **and** they must be in attendance at the ceremony or have an official representative in attendance.
We believe an award's significance is shared between the honoree and the institution. As such, we will not present awards to individuals or teams who do not engage with or acknowledge our platform.
To ensure fairness, a nominee who cannot attend may still qualify by contacting our office in advance to express their appreciation for the nomination and to confirm their acknowledgment of the award should they win.
This approach ensures that every nominee who actively participates in the spirit of our community has a meaningful opportunity to be honored. While vote count is essential, it is not the sole factor; our commitment is to celebrate a genuine partnership with the artists we recognize.
